Sagging arms on a GLP-1 — answered straight
Sagging Arms on a GLP-1
Sagging arms on a GLP-1 — the jiggle women call “bat wings” — happen because the weight loss took the arm muscle that used to fill your arm out along with the fat, and the fix is training the triceps, shoulders, and biceps back.

Why it happens
Arms show muscle loss early and honestly. The back of the arm is mostly one muscle — the triceps — and when it shrinks during fast weight loss, what’s left is skin with nothing firm underneath it. Wave, reach, or lift something overhead, and the softness waves back. That’s not aging, and it’s not you failing your diet. It’s untrained muscle that got smaller.
It’s also one of the most fixable spots on this whole list. Arm muscles respond to training at any age, the moves are simple, and the equipment fits in a drawer: a pair of dumbbells. In studies of GLP-1 weight loss, the people who strength train are the ones who keep their muscle — arms included.
Inside Skinny Fat Fix, arm work is never an afterthought: triceps, shoulders, and biceps are trained every week in our live upper-body sessions, with your form checked while you move. Start with the three moves below — they’re the backbone of the whole thing.
The three arm moves
From our live upper-body sessions — the same moves Coach RJ coaches and form-checks every week.
Move 1 — the back of the arm
Triceps Kickback
Hinge forward, upper arm pinned still, and straighten the weight behind you. The triceps are the biggest muscle in your arm and they live exactly where the jiggle is — this is the move that rebuilds the back of the arm.
Move 2 — shoulders + arms together
Overhead Press
Press the dumbbells from shoulder height to overhead and lower them slow. Shoulders and triceps share the work, which is how arms get firmer and stronger for real life — lifting, carrying, reaching.
Move 3 — the front of the arm
Bicep Curls
Curl the weights up without swinging, and lower them even slower than you lifted them. The slow lower is where the biceps earn it — and firm biceps are half of an arm that looks trained instead of soft.
How we train them
Live & Form-Checked
These moves are coached live inside Skinny Fat Fix — Weekdays 6:30 AM ET, with Live Form Check Sundays. Coach RJ watches your form while you train, so the right muscle does the work and your joints don’t. At home, with dumbbells.
Firm them back up
No creams, no wraps, no surgery talk — just the muscle, rebuilt on purpose. This is the work we coach live inside Skinny Fat Fix.
Train arms every week, not once in a while
Muscle rebuilds on a schedule, not on inspiration. Our members hit upper body in the weekly live rotation — Weekdays 6:30 AM ET, with Live Form Check Sundays to keep the technique honest.
Go a little heavier over time
Progress is the program: when the last reps get easy, the weight goes up a notch. That steady challenge is what tells the triceps and biceps to grow back instead of just going through the motions.
Feel stronger before you look firmer
Strength shows up in weeks — groceries get easier, jars open easier. The mirror follows in a few months of steady training. Both are real; the strength just reports first.
Same problem, other doors
These pains travel together. Start wherever yours shows up most.

Why did my arms go soft so fast?
Because arms carry less muscle to begin with, losing some shows quickly — and the triceps, the muscle at the back of the arm, is one most women have never trained directly. The good news in that: an untrained muscle is the fastest kind to respond when you start.
How often should I train my arms?
In our program, upper body gets trained every week as part of the live Weekdays 6:30 AM ET rotation, with form checks built in. Two focused arm sessions a week is plenty — muscle grows between sessions, not during them.
Do I need heavy weights to firm my arms?
No. You need weights that make the last few reps a real effort, and to increase them gradually as you get stronger. For most beginners that starts light — a pair of dumbbells at home is the whole setup.
How long until my arms actually look firmer?
Honestly: you’ll feel the difference in a few weeks and see it build over a few months of steady training. Muscle doesn’t come back in a week — but arms are one of the first places steady work shows.
